    just trying to get in a lot of info before i start my rebuild. when replacing stringers and transom, how do you attach them together, bond them? fibreglass only? i know i will learn more when i take it all apart but, would like to know what i'm in for...thanks

    airguide tachometers.

    does anyone have any knowledge on airgued tachometers. i have 2 cylinder outboard and was wondering what model of airguide tachometer i need, or do they all have different settings? i have an airguide speedometer so i want to match the gauge for my boat restore, thanks

    i was looking at a parts book and saw that what i thought was a choke is in fact a manual primer. what up with that? is it actually a primer or choke? confused. p.s., this is my first johnson outboard. former merc owner, sorry.

    forgot to put the plug back in.

    a few years back a buddy of mine got up after a night of heavy rain to go and take his speed boat for a run to drain the water out. when he came back and tied up to the wharf, he forgot to put the plug back in. we all know what happened. he went out later and all he could find was his windshield...

    80s style sunray

    i have an 80s style sunray boat, model sw149. is there anyway of telling the year of this boat? it's a tri-hull as well.

    water outlet.

    i have a 1985 45 hp commercial outboard. this weekend i noticed when i launched my boat, and started the motor, there was no water coming out of the outlet. i took the hose off and blew down threw it. after that all was good. could this have been a blockage or is there something else going on?

    newfoundland fishing

    anyone do any fishing in canada? i live in newfoundland(east coast, canada). i have a log cabin on a small lake. we fish for speckled trout, landlocked salmon, brown trout. i have an 80's style sunray boat and a 1985 45 hp commercial johnson outboard. great fun. good working unit. steve.
