Supersport dash and interior side panel ideas?

Thanks, didn’t consider a blister early enough. I’ve already clad and installed the helm stations. I’ve also got a Helix sonar going back on top and what you don’t see yet is the cup hole cut outs already installed under the nautolex. But I might be able to add a small housing for the tach on...

Supersport dash and interior side panel ideas?

I’m just starting to rebuild my dash. It had nothing on it but a steering wheel, nav light and a cigarette lighter. I’m adding a tach for the OB, a 6 gang switch with a voltmeter, a 12v acc plug and usbs. I’m also adding a horn button and already it looks jammed packed. I have two auto bilge...

I believe that’s what these rotary gearboxes are? At least they look the same one. I look it up online. Actually, if I’m not mistaken, one of them even says it on the housing. that’s the one I will use

Shoestring Starcraft SS160 Resto-mod - let the long slow road begin

Thanks, with the measurement, you’re referring to the length of the cable from the steering box to the motor connection? Any thoughts on lubricating these systems? All of them are used, age unknown. I’m hoping lengths will work out.

Shoestring Starcraft SS160 Resto-mod - let the long slow road begin

And the whole winter passed me by without doing anything on the boat. I mothballed it under an A frame tent for the winter and focussed on rearranging the garage so mamas new car could fit inside for the snowy months. That and misc home Reno’s that never got completed. So, back to the boat...

Shoestring Starcraft SS160 Resto-mod - let the long slow road begin

Thanks Moserkr, I’m trying to do just that. Not many of us know our expiry date, but the look at my mortality has me making changes in my life to not only enjoy but do everything I can to prolong it. There are many people who survive this long term and I intend to be in that group. Getting...

Shoestring Starcraft SS160 Resto-mod - let the long slow road begin

thanks it was a real kick to the boys but you have to keep positive and fight or the alternative doesn’t look very good. Any thoughts on the switch type that I bought? Have you used these before with reliability?

1973 Starcraft SuperSport 16ft. restoration questions

I would yes. Equal both sides. In case you want to put the pump on that side (and I would so it’s not in the way of reaching the plug) and for cleaning. Aside from that your build looks great

Shoestring Starcraft SS160 Resto-mod - let the long slow road begin

Update: Project is still mothballed. When I titled this thread, I had no idea just how accurate that would be. This spring, I went to war. I was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. I thought I would be able to work on the boat in and around treatment, but I didn’t have it in me. I’m now 8 weeks...

    Constant high pitch alarm?

So I pulled the thermostat. Nothing stuck inside. No debris anywhere to be seen. I ran it while it was removed. Motor stays stone cold. no alarm. Telltale stream was not as strong. Absolute ton of water coming out of the blubber holes. Next week I’m going to perform the telltail mod. And...

    Carburetor clean versus carburetor rebuild

Thanks everybody. I think this time anyway, I will go to rebuild kit route. Just to get the white metal plugs at least. I’m not working due to my health condition at the moment. So I do have lots of time however that being said I don’t have much cash or energy. I think in this particular...
