    Nice, the 327 SSX is a nice boat. I had a client with one, but it was grossly underpowered with twin 5.7s. Only hit about 42-45 MPH tops.

    Not even close. The Chappy SX was a premium line for its era. It is comparable in quality with Cobalt and Formula, with three exceptions: the hull/deck joint is riveted which sucks, there is some sloppy glasswork in places, especially hidden areas, and also Chaparral did not do a good job...

    Yep, I had the same hacked out holes from rusted seat bushing that Chap used for some reason! I did, however, have three layers of wood around my seat base holes, so I lagged new big SS screws into new holes. Seems to be holding pretty well so far, this is what I was working with:

    Hah! I had the same kinds of problems when reinstalling my seat bases. First, the base was very wobbly, so I did this to fix it and it worked like a charm! Remounting my seat bases into the three pieces of wood decking was hard as I had to avoid the fuel line and the wallowed out holes. I...

    You've done an AMAZING job with this boat! I actually have a '99 2335, so we basically have the same boat. I also ripped out the nasty carpet, but I went with faux teak. Your gelcoat looks great, but I went the easier route! Still happy with the results tho! Here are some pictures of my boat:
