    Ragged out idle 90hp 2 stroke

    The 3 cylinder engine are not known for smooth idle and a loose/worn steering cable will aggravate the shaking. I have seen them on aluminum boats cause a harmonic vibration that rattles all the loose items in hulls.

    1987 is a open deck motor with large cc chamber heads. 85-90 psi is normal at cranking for these models. The recirculation system suck on these older models so check the valves for stoppage/restriction. If hand pumping keeps it going crankcase compression is low

    Taiwan electronics are actually the best and have been used in everything in USA and world since the 70's. They are the biggest chip maker in the world , that why China wants to take them over. You can use a cheap diode or good diode, thin or thick circuit board, etc and this will effect price...

    I will not put that cheap Chinesem stuff on my customers units. If a DIY wants to use it be aware that it may look the same but, usually they use sub quality parts. Also it may damage other components or cause a fire if it fails but its your engine.

    I have used almost a dozen of these and had no problems. Just make sure the trim system has relays. It will need an adapter harness to backfit older motors. If ya need just trim mount one of these enclosed switches on dash or steering wheel.
