    Mercontrol Tach harness

    I have the tach harness that plugs into the control box. It has three wires: Black, White, and Green. Where do these go on the tach? Tach has three posts, ground, power, and sender.

    Merc 9.8 compression numbers

    I had a friend bring me a 9.8 merc to look at for him. I just ran the compression numbers, and they seem a little off to me. Tell me what you guys think. <br /><br />#1-90lbs<br />#2-110lbs<br /><br />I think this could be the cause of the poor idling, but it still runs pretty good at WOT.

    Curious to Rifle value

    I have a Pre-65 Winchester 94 30-30. It looks like it just came out of the box, absolutely pristine. I know that the gun is very valuable, so I take good care of it, but it is a hunter. Anyone have a guesstimate if the value? It was bought in 1945 by my Grandfather for 35 dollars.

    Grounding aluminum boat

    As many of you know, I am in the process of building an aluminum boat out of an old Starcraft. Should I ground the boat to the negative side of the battery? I thought that I read some where that it should be done.

    A question for the Mod's and Admin

    I see that the Yamaha and Suzuki's are in the same catagory. Shouldnt the Yamaha be with the Mercs, and Suzuki's be with the JohnnyRudes? And why is there no Honda section? that tells me something, I guess Honda's dont have very many repair issues, so I guess that will be my next motor! :D
