    Boyyyy you guys are all great. Thanks so much for the instructions. I will try and get at that this afternoon. Will have to try and find some "young STRONG" guy to help me lift that lower half back up. Just seems like I can't lift like I did 40 years ago, surely couldn't be AGE ya think? Thanks...

    Replaced rubber impeller now won't shift to neutral??

    I have an 83 boat inboard/outboard mercruiser. After I replaced the rubber impeller and buttoned up the outboard the shift lever is stuck in forward gear. What could this dumb old (83) cowboy have done wrong? Should note I am a true novice at boat repair. 😒

    Does anyone know if they make an Electronic Ignition Conversion Kit to replace the Thunderbolt Ignition? If not does anyone know if I can still get spark plug wires and I think cap for this Merc 1350 model engine ? Any and Alllll responded truly appreciated !

    I am newby to iBoat forums. I was willed a boat that has a 1350 listed on the coweling, but I have no idea whatsoever what year this boat and motor are. It will not start, but I need to know what model and year this motor is before I can begin asking for help. Where can I find this information?
