    90 hp 2 stroke will not go above 5000 RPM

    You are not likely to fix this situation with just prop changes. Has the motor had new jets installed to allow it to run properly at the higher elevations? The higher the elevation, the worse it will run unless it is rejetted. The higher you go, the less dense the air, so smaller jets are required.

    Your battery may be perfectly fine. Check, clean, and tighten connections on battery, starter, starter solenoid.     Its just pushed in there? Probably shoved it in there to keep it from blowing out of the boat. Found in the lake? Litter. Can't imagine any reason to keep it there.

    Looks like a '79 SuperSport 22 V5 Might have been a fisherMASTER V5 , believe only difference was seating and storage, and the FISHMASTER 22 had live wells under both seats in the bow. I don't think they made a "fisherman" , so title appears to be wrong, which is common.

    pretty sure it's a 1979 SS18 V5 IO or a 1979 SS22 V5 IO Windshield style matches 79-83 Stripes aren't original, repainted and cheap decals - not even straight, and white starcraft stickers stuck on top.
