    Diagram for coolant system?

Fresh water cooled engines do not have radiators…they have heat exchangers that serve the purpose of a radiator. On that engine, if you are fresh water cooled, the heat exchanger will be tubular, maybe 4,5,6,7 inches in diameter and 12-18 inches in length, mounted on top of the engine with...

    I Bonds

I got mine done ok, but did something to mess up my wife's application. Had to go through the Medallion Stamp process as well, took 8-9 weeks. At least we only have to do that once and can easily buy more bonds in the future.

    I Bonds

Ok, checked with my tax guy and he confirmed I could either pay yearly or once when redeemed. I’m guessing the yearly option is best for most people as a big lump sum might bump you into a higher tax bracket.

    5.0 Mercruiser Problems

OP, really sorry you are going through all this and hope everything works out. Sounds like there was no sea trial before buying. Just a reminder to other potential boat buyers…boats always run great in the sellers driveway. Getting it out on the water can be a whole different story.

    2001 Chaparral 230 SSi vs. 2007 SeaRay Sundeck 200

I’ll throw this out for what it’s worth…. No question that the Bravo III is a good way to go, but in the size boat you are looking for, the majority of that market, most will have 5.0 or 5.7 engines with Alpha drives. Alphas are good units when hooked up to small block V-8’s or smaller engines...

    USCG Documentation SCAM Site

I know this is an old thread, but never hurts to remind boat owners about it. If you ever need to renew your Coast Guard documentation, only go to the real CG Doc office and renew for $26. If the website wants $75, you are on a scammers website
