heres my set-up- 14'8 v-hull ski boat 650 merc-prop is 13/19, michigan reccomends 11 1/2 to 11 3/4- 15????prop shop guy says 13 is fine and dia don't matter??i fool around with airplanes and dia sure does matter so why would'nt it on a boat?? my problem is with the 13/19 i'm only at 3900...
hers' my set-up; 72 merc 650 on a 14'8 arrow glass scorpion closed bow ski boat, i'm getting 29mph@3900 rpm,i dont know what prop it has on it cause its not marked,surelly i can get more rpm's/speed than this,so what would be a good starting point for a prop??what would be the upper rpm range...
i've got a 72 merc 650, is there a filter or strainer in the pump???visualy i can't see anything on the outside of the block or in-line, what would be the harm if any, in putting a small motor type of in line filter on it????thanks, jim
ive got a 72 650 what would be a respectable psi on this thing 80 to 125??and how much diffrenetial in psi between cylinders is acceptable?? thanks jim
my 65 has a distributor,does it have points??it is a 72 model i-4 i also need some prop info(who don't right)it has a un-know prop on it with no markings it look to have been re-worked at some point and was never re-marked. it's on a 14'8 arrow glass scorpion v-hull closed bow sport type boat...
