Hi all,
My 20 year old Glastron sx175 volvo penta sea raw water pump bearings are shot, from the picture is it worth replacing the unit where the impeller sits there is a some wear and tear - or just changing the bearings?
Thanks
Interesting, possible a badly made hull at the time, just luck of the draw?
I've seen open molded boats only a few years old requiring new transoms think it was a regal at the boatyard.
Hi all,
I have a VEC hull and notice some spider cracking wanted to get glastron to take a look as per the VEC 'lifetime warranty'.
Is Glastron still operating, can't see, to find anyone's contact details.
Wanted to come back to this for anyone in the future having similar issues.
Everything is now working, although there is probably some fine tuning required.
As advised, I used a compressor to blow out all passages in the carb, put this back together with a new kit - the new kit had different...
Is it possible to use the line that goes from the carb to the top of the rocker, bit like a PCV?
I don't think there is anything from the choke.
There is this line, I could TEE into?
Is that a fuel or vacuum line?
Sorry I meant the choke is closed on cold start and open on warm start.
Thanks, I will try this however why would it suddenly be lumpy? When last season it wasn't lumpy just hard to start?
Nope, just cleaned with carb cleaner - I'll look at this again over the weekend.
Any ideas on setting the float height and where to take a vacuum feed from?
