    converting a distributor ignition to ADI on a '78 1400

    Is the ADI a much better ignition system than the distributor ignition on these inlines...can you convert to an ADI and if so what components do you have to change? Thanks!

    1977 mercury 1150 crankcase question

    How big of a risk would it be to use the crankcase cover from say "engine block A" and bolt that cover on a different block...i know the blocks/crankcases bearing journals are align bored for a matching set...just wondering how critical this is...?

    converting an 1150 block into a 140/150 block

    Wondering if anyone has tried to convert an 1150 direct charge block into a 140/150 cross flow designed block..? The 140 and 150 cross flow has a 1" angled fly cut in the cylinder wall...seems a good machinist could easily cut this port into the cylinder wall...i know, i come up with some crazy...
