    i have a 2002 optimax 200 and it blew up i am going to put a 1977 175 johnson on it for the time being. the mercury has to cables going to the motor. will one of those cables hook up to the johnson. or will i have to get a new cable. thanks

    ok i bought a stratos bass boat for a steal, it came with an 2002 200 opti-max that blew up. the motor has very low hours, it has a hole on the left side the size of a baseball, and a crack on the right side. my guestion is,is it worth the money to fix it or part it out. and what would it cost...

    hanging a engine.

    i have a 77, 175 and wanting to know if there was a good place to mount some type of eyehook so i can hang the motor, someone told me i could use the three holes on top of the flywheel, just wanting to ask the pro's.:)

    i bought a motor from a guy and the starter brackets broke. i had them welded back on but went to order a new starter and it calls for a 8 tooth but the starter that he had and used a few years is a 10 tooth. i asked him if the flywheel was ever replaced and it hadnt. how do i no which starter...

    looking for a starter for 1977 175 johnson the #'s i got for the engine is 175tl775 and the starter has # 08142-23-m0305m it has 10 teeth, most of the starters i have found have 8 teeth does this matter or not, any help would be gratful. thanks chris
