    Good cam choice for a Mercruiser 5.0LX

    Looking for a cam for a 89 Mercruiser Chevy 305 4bbl for a 21ft Bayliner. It's ran about 1,000ft in elevation. I was thinking a Edlebrock #2102 which is a performer for the street 305/350. Any thoughts or has anyone found a cam that works well?

    Mercruiser 305 distributor breather

    Working out the bugs on this 1989 305 mercruiser. It has the stock merc distributor. I noticed there is a brass breather on the side of the distributor. Is this just a breather or is is vac. advance? If it's an advance, where does it hook up to, There is no open connections on the carb.

    I recently bought a 1989 21ft Bayliner Arriva with the 5.0LX. I want to change the wheels and tires on the trailer, it's a 1989 Escort single axel trailer that was sold with the boat when new. Any idea what the boat weighs? I need to find a wheel/tire combo that will carry the weight. Thanks.
