    1983 johnson 140 engine missing

    Started up and it runs fine but ever once in awhile the engine sounds like it miss fires does not sound like just one cylinder but all of them. Sounds like it just shuts off then runs again . Does this even on wide open throttle . Is it one bad spark plug or is it something else.

    Will a Yamaha 9.9 prop fit a Mercury 9.9

    I have a chance to buy a brand-new 4 blade prop off a yamaha 9.9 with 8 splines diameter 9.25 Solas YA410 Will it fit mercury 9.9 that has 8 splines and a diameter 9.25 I heard engine parts can be switched like a carb ,but not sure of the lower leg.
