    Idle and Evinrude ?

    1995ish 200hp Ocean Pro, Just rebuilt. The silly thing ran fine on mufflers. Backed it into water. Would not idle. I have seen this happen a few other times. Can anybody explain why or how this happens? <br />Any experience with ocean pro's ? New to this engine.

    It has the insta start system. Electronic choke on the key. <br />Does anybody know the proper starting process I should be doing. <br />We replaced everything ingition wise. Can't seem to get it to start right. Any suggestions on what to check ?

    Over revved--*Did we toast it?

    We think we over reved a 155 evinrude commercial. Spewed blue smoke, we shut it down. Now it turns over and sputters then dies out. <br />Had about 1/4-1/2 tank of oil. <br /><br /> Had 120-130 compression as of last week so it WAS pretty strong.
