    Jimbo thank you so much! I have had the hardest time fi ding parts for this thing. When I opened the skeg up everything locks together and spins when I do it by hand but the snap rings was broken. Is there any way that could be what's causing it to not go in to gear and stay in gear? Also...

    Need help with 1956 evinrude bigtwin 30hp clutch dog fwd and reverse gear replacement.

    This is about 1 minute before it happned, I have rebuilt the carburetor and impeller along with getting new cables and a simplex controller and a 4 gallon mile master tank. Also I have no clue what type of boat it is if anyone knows I would love to hear about it!

    I think I found it 18-7043, does anyone know if I can take the hardware for the shifter cable off and switch it out to my new type 400 cables? It does not have an allen screw but a square sticking up on both sides next to the eye.
