    im looking to change the starter rope on this beast, and it looks like the rope is held by a roll pin.? the vids i watched all had a knot thru a hole holding the rope on, so before i knock this pin out i was just hoping to confirm the procedure.

    el motor i put some oil down the chambers and let it sit a minute then spun it by hand at the flywheel. spins easy and goes thunk thunk real nice. it shifts thru r - n - f easily, and engages the prop. i think its worth spending some beer tokens.

    go to vatozone and get a temp gauge for a car its 12v lighted should go right in for like 20 bucks. use lowesdepot brass fittings to size up/down to whatever thread you need to connect the things. - saylor
