    short shaft long shaft

    I know how to measure shaft and transom length. But how do you determine if you have a long or short transom. For example, I have a 15 inch transom and an engine with an 18 inch shaft. Then I have a 75 hp with a 23 inch shaft and a glasstron with a 20 inch transom. What do you folks think?

    tire pressure

    I looked on my tires before putting air in them, they were kind of soft, and it says 70 PSI. These are little tires. I have 42 PSI in them now. Is that really correct, should I put 70 psi in them? This is a boat trailer with a 16 foot Owens Fiberglass runnabout. It isn't heavy like a glaspar.

    How do you determine if your engine is long shaft or short shaft. How about the transom, how do you know if you should have a short or long shaft? Finally, can you put a long shaft on a short shaft transom? I am not talking about a 40 hp on a 12 footer.
