    Guys,<br /><br />I couldn't find seafoam in this neck of the woods. I'll drive into town if need be, but thought I'd ask if just plain carb cleaner (berryman's to be precise) in place of would work? I pulled my plugs and I definitely have hard, black, carbon on them.<br /><br />Thanks

    instead of permatex

    Does anyone remember a black tar-like stuff you could get from OMC that was used to help seal lower units? It was gooey and stuck to everything, but you sure could seal up anything. It was many years ago, but I seem to remember something we used instead of permatex around the o-rings
