    High speed orifice sizing

    I rebuilt carb of a 1995 Johnson 6HP (J6REOD) and noticed the high speed orifice was size 50, but current parts schematics show 38. I bought the engine when 2 years old and doubt the carb was previously rebuilt. Do specifications change, or could they have simply decided this engine ran better...

    1999 Suzuki DT115STC charging specs

    Does anyone know how many amps its charging system is rated for, and if its voltage regulated? I'm considering using a AGM battery but I've read they require regulated charging at or below 14.2V less you will shorten their lifespan.

    Sinc & link - 1986 Evinrude 90hp V4 crossflow

    After replacing the powerhead to adapter gasket and all fuel, oil and recirculation hoses, motor idled better than last year even w/o a link and sinc. But had a leak- removed top carb and fixed a spit end on one of the new recirculation hoses. Reinstalled carb but no longer idles nicely...

    Is there any appreciable difference between Sierra and BRP gaskets? I noticed the BRP are usually a little more expensive?

    powerhead to adapter gasket: sealer?

    I have a 86 Evinrude 90 that's probably leaking at this gasket. The OMC manual for this year says to apply gasket sealing compound to a new gasket. The Clymer manual I have (printed 1992) that covers this engine states not to use a sealer. :confused: I've read on this forum that the original...
