    3hp evinrude won't run unless chocked???

    I have a 1952 3hp evinrude lighttwin. I rebuilt the carb. It will run only if it's about half choke. If you try to idle down it will die. I have the slow speed at 1 1/2 turns from close and high speed at 3/8 from close. Any suggestions. on how to get it to run without the choke out...

    I have a 1952 3hp that i have rebiult the carb on my question is will it run at all without the packing nut on the high speed needle? I can not get it to run but about 10 seconds.

    pontoon prop?

    I am running a 12 1/2 x 8 prop on a 1994 60 hp Merc. pushig a 21' pontoon approx. 20 mph at 5900-6000 rpm. Can I got to smaller diameter and bigger pitch and gain anything as far as lower rpm and maybe a little more speed? Kenny

    I am currently running a 12 1/2 x 8 prop on a 21 foot suntracker pontoon with a 60 hp merc on it. Running 21 mph at 5800-6000 rpm. Can I chande to a smaller diameter and bigger pitch and maintain speed at lower rpm? Kenny

    I have a 21' suntracker pontoon with a 1994 60hp Merc. pushing it. Currently running 21mph @ 5800rpm with 12 1/2 X 8 prop. Can I go with a smaller diameter and bigger pitch and cruise at lower rpm and maintain this speed. Or is there a prop that might give me a little more speed? Thanks...
