    merc 140 electronic ignition conversion.

    The used boat I bought last year has a Merc 140 in it, with the electronic ignition conversion (replaces point and condenser). THe spark doesnt seem hot enough...its more of a yellow instead of blue. The coil also gets real hot; is this normal?

    I have a Mercruiser 140; the Seloc manual calls for a RN6 plug; the plugs in it are a RV15YC4 ( both Champion). The specs look a little different between the two types; is one a sub for the other?

    oil pan drain plug thread size on Merc 140
