do I need to replace it when it drips about once per second from the pee hole,running at idle on the hose.The motor is an 85 johnson,10 hp.Also. if it needs replacing,do I need to drain the gearcase before removal?
I have a CMC pt-130 tilt & trim unit on my 17 footer with an 88 special mounted on it.I'm concerned about stress on the transom while trailering.Is it best to tilt the motor all the way up ,then bump it down a notch to take pressure off the cylinder?I've also seen "transom savers" which clip on...
