    '69 Mercury800EL Fuel Pump dilemma

    Ok.. So I'll try to explain this as best as possible. My 1969 80 hp (sn 2664700) has a "Y" fitting on one of the fuel pumps. Fitting #22-54818 My Manual says it's for the upper pump.     Guys, I'm ready to install some new rubber mounts in my '69 , 80hp Merc. Should I use anything on the bolt threads? i.e. Perfect Seal, Loctite (red or blue), Never-seeze? Maybe nothing at all?? It's a fresh water motor...... Also, anyone care to guess at what I should torque the bolts to...

    Can anyone recommend a good "Inert" anti-seize compound? A brand name would be helpful. I'm about half way through a motor tear down ...     Guys I need to replace the "O" rings in my old Merc tilt/trim cylinders. To do so, I need a 1 1/4 spanner wrench. The usual local places just look at me! :confused: Daa what's a spanner?     Tilt/trim limit switch
