    It seems that when adjusting trim up to much at high speeds I lose power ...I can hear the motor sound like it is spinning or something. If I only adjust trim a little it is ok. Is this normal<br />or maybe cavitation?

    I have a mercrusier 1990 alpha 1 drive. The prop that i have is evidently for an older model unit as it is hitting the rear of unit when installed. Would like to try and use but i need some sort of bigger shaft prop washer to keep it from making contact with housing. Do i need a washer on both...
