    Changing manifold on a 2004 3.0.

Mercury made it for this application so it's OEM, the manifold I removed had no hole there. https://powerboatsupply.com/uncategorized-mercury-parts/oem-quicksilver-mercury-exhaust-manifold-assembly-860235a04/

Cheap floor and foam replacement for weekend.

drill a hole in the floor the same size as shop vac nozzle, stick the nozzle in there and leave it running with the hole sealed. You'll be surprised how much water it picks up if that foam is saturated.

Cheap floor and foam replacement for weekend.

There are different density's of foam, there are also foams that you mix part A and b. Use a hole saw and cut holes in some of the soft parts, remove as much old foam as you can, replace it with high density foam. put a good board over the hole and the remaining soft spots. The carbed...

    Changing manifold on a 2004 3.0.

Another caveat when changing this manifold on a 3.0. On the side of the manifold close to the stud on the carb base there is a drilled and tapped hole that leads into under the carb intake runner, if it's left unplugged, it's a vacuum leak. It causes a uncontrollable idle and dieseling when...

Alpha one gen one installing lower out drive

another difference in the 2004, the water tube is plastic, there is no copper, just a plastic tube with a curve in it. There is still a white plastic piece that acts as a guide that attaches to the black sleeve with o-rings in it that goes on the impeller cover.
