    Shifting Gears on 1969 20hp Johnson Loose a gear.

    I replaced the water pump and now it shifts into all gears before I start. Then I only have Neutral and forward or Netural and reverse. I can turn the prop, when in gear, and then it will shift.all three.

    1969 20HP Johnson. 1/8" hose connection near Fuel pump. Connects to?

    I am restoring a 1969 20HP Johnson. I rebuilt the carburetor and now see a 1/8 hose which attaches to a nipple which is underneath one of the coils about 2 " and near the carburetor. It is about 16 inches long and ends up near the fuel pump. Can someone tiell me where that end goes? ​ ​

    Can' blow through the gas hose which connects to the motor

    I replaced the bulb on the gas hose and had gas in the tank. Before connecting the bulb I tried to blow on the hose going into the tank but could not. Is there a backflow valve which prevents me for doing that or should there be no restriction?
