    i'm looking at a 1980 thompson, they ad says 140hp volvo. my question is what is the platform here. chevy, ford, or volvo? i would also like to know what the compression should be on this engine. the guy says it fires right up.

    old boat motor question

    1979 22' searay cuddy, i just purchased this boat. hull floor,all the fiberglass is in great shape, even the transom, no soft spots anywhere. the prob is that water is in the oil, the motor cranks, but i'm hoping for the best. the engine is a 305 chevy, same as in my truck, he says its a 89...

    oil seepage question

    i have an older outboard, 1953 scott atwater 10hp, and it leaaks oil after use through a weep hole just above the oil fill plug. correct me if i'm wrong please but is this just spent oil? i'd say after a days usageit leaks approx. 1/4 to 1/2 half ounce maybe less. is this normal?, or is it...
