    Evinrude idle adjustment

    I have a 1994 Evinrude 120. It idles at about 1000 rpm. Makes a nice "clunk" when shifting into gear at this rpm. Would like to idle down a little to lessen stress on lower unit. Throttle/shifting linkage is right. What else can I do to slow engine a little?<br /><br />Also wanted to...

    1994 Evinrude 120...max safe rpm?

    Hey does anyone know the maximum safe RPM for this engine? With a 13X19 stainless OMC prop it will turn 6000 with engine trimmed up. I usually do not run it over 5000 but occasionally another v-4 comes scootin by and its on!

    Lower unit question -94 evinrude 120

    I recently changed the oil in my lower unit. I went with lubrimatic synthetic blend outboard gear oil. I used the boat about 5 times and rechecked oil and notice that it is a little cloudy. I did not find any water. Both magnetics (on the plugs) are completely clean. The oil was a dark green...
