    mercruiser alpha 1 gear lube fitting pulling or pushing

    well I broke the little plastic gear lube fitting the one that goes into the bell housing. I removed the lower unit not the gimble bell housing before I continue to remove that little nippler do I push it thru the bell or do I pull do I need a special tool to remove it
