    I was thinking of replacing the trim pump and pistons off the 1993 donor boat for my 1987.     Another engine alignment question

    Can I use a shaft from an outdrive to align my engine? I am dropping a 1993 3.0 and outdrive in my 1987 boat. Are the splines the same on the outdrives? If so, cant I just disconnect the u-joint from the old drive to align the engine?
