    Got the old transom wood cleaned out finally what a pain it was pretty swollen. Here's my idea for tieing the top of my transom in going to have a cap made instead of the flimsy piece that only goes on the inside of the boat

    Yea It turned out pretty good hopefully get the rest of the wood out of the transom this weekend and that beam finished bolting it in order some ply wood to do the new transom

    Little more progress changed out the 1 by 6 for a 2 by 6 aluminum tube and going to tie the top of the transom in to that

    Little bit more progress went a little crazy and tore the whole back of the boat out new plan of trying to tie the whole transom in now

    Well its finally gutted other then the rotted transom looking for ideas on how I can tie the transom in heres a pic of it and one I did a crude drawing of for an idea the yellow is some knee braces tied into a piece of channel

    Got a line on checker plate for flooring so thinking on going that route then I can tie the transom in the floor i think that should be plenty strong as my motor mounts are just 2 by 4s

    Well she's pretty well gutted time to pull the motor and outdrive this weekend and start looking at making something to tie the transom into the stringers

    Its got a 165hp mercruiser and pre alpha drive i believe hasn't ran in a yr or so cover got left off so its all probly pooched
