I have a 2000 Bayliner 1954 with a Mercruiser 3.0 I/O. After running it on the muffs I noticed a water leak on the right side of the engine just above the oil pan gasket. It appears to be coming from a hole on the block where the alternator wire clamp is bolted to. Do I have a serious problem or...
I'm looking at buying a 1990 Four Winns Freedom 170 17' bowrider with a 2.3 OMC Cobra Ford I/O. The hull is in fair condition but has a couple small cracks in the gelcoat but the floor is solid. The seats need re upholstered and the engine turns over but has not been started in 3 years. The...
I am working on a friends boat that has a 4 cylinder Volvo Penta 130 with dual carbs. The engine is seized so I pulled the spark plugs, sprayed some WD-40 in the cylinders and tried turning it over with a wrench on the crankshaft...no luck. I pulled the dipstick out and the engine oil looks like...
I just noticed today on my 1985 Bayliner with a Volvo Penta A125B/270 that there is a small pinhole leak on the lower bellows. When the engine is running with the motor flusher on it water sprays out. Is it normal?
I recently purchased a 1985 Bayliner Trophy with a Volvo Penta 4 cylinder engine. I am doing a tune-up and I originally thought the engine was an AQ125 and I installed four NGK BP6ES spark plugs in it. There is no model number on the valve cover but it is marked with the recommended plug which...
I removed the lower unit to replace the impeller and there is a black piece of either plastic or hard rubber that was stuck on the motor end of the water tube. It is cracked and not usable. Is it supposed to be there?
I'm getting ready to install two Cannon Mag 10's on my Bayliner Trophy but I need to know if there is a special drill bit required to drill thru the fiberglass
Thanks
I noticed today on my 1983 Bayliner with a Volvo AQ125A that the outer tube for the main pilot jet in the center of the carburetor can be turned. Is it supposed to be like that?
Thanks
I have a 1968 Johnson 20hp that sprays fuel from a small hole near the top of the carburetor on the side. It sprays when I squeeze the primer bulb and when it starts. Is there supposed to be a plug in there or does the carb need rebuilt?
I have a '57 Johnson 7.5hp and the cap that covers the prop cotter pin and shear pin is missing. The local dealerships have no way of looking up parts this old and I was wondering if anyone knows if it's still available
I have a 1955 Johnson QD-16 10hp and was wondering if there is a paint that is close to the original green that's available over the counter like at Napa?
I recently bought a Sears 7hp in good condition but I could not get it to run without squirting some gas into the cylinder. I took the carb apart and the main needle is missing. I checked with sears and it's no longer available. Any suggestions?
