    The serial number plate is missing from a recently purchased Johnson 70 VRO. The label on the VRO pump says VRO2, which from my research, indicates 1986 or newer. Is there anyway I can further pin down the year by visual means on engine components? Thanks.

    1988 Thunder Craft 162 Regancy restoration

    Re: 1988 Thunder Craft 162 Regancy restoration She has the 2.5L 120 HP engine and Mercruiser outdrive. Does 25 mph at 3000 RPM and 30 mph at 3600. I have not had it any faster. A comparable boat of 16 feet with a 90 HP new is about 14 thousand with trailer. I am proud of her!
