    Greasing a prop hub

Hello, I'm changing out my prop tomorrow AM--first time I've done this. What kind of grease do I need, do I apply to hub or directly on to prop shaft, how much to use, etc? FYI-I'm doing this with boat in water--any suggestions??

    How to determine pitch?

How do I determine a props pitch? All that is stamped into this cupped 4 blade is "Meade" and "13x1 ". There is a straight line at top of place where 4th number should be, indicating 5? 7? Owner says it's a 5, but how do I find out for sure? Also, anyone know what Meade is? I assumed...

Well, I finally installed my Nauticus Smart Tabs SX today; they work great!!!! Got almost 5 mph more (a 15% gain), and there is now literally no bowlift. Unbelievable! Now for the stupid part---I found out this wonderful news about 1 hour after installing them using 3m Marine 5200...

    Cupped ss 4 blade 13x15 Performance ???s

Hello, recently purchased this prop to improve hole shot on my 20 foot Everglades 200cc flatbottom with Yamaha 4stroke 115 (w/ jackplate 6" setback). I understand this prop might (or will?) reduce top-end speed, but get me up quicker. Does anyone know how much speed I will sacrifice? I have...

    Speedometer mishaps

I typically run in shallow water and sometimes get a little too shallow:eek:. Occasionally, after my prop gets clear (99% of time it's very easy to get back out), I notice the speedometer refuses to work (there's a -- where a number should be). It usually comes back on after a little time...

    Please Review these Trailer Pics

I am considering buying a '99 Magnum tandem axle for a 20' (it belonged to a 21' blue wave). It is located about 2 hours from me so, before driving out to see it, I hoped you guys would look at some pictures and give me your opinion on the shape it's in. Any suggestions? He's asking $800...

    Green Funk Build-up

How do I clean the green "rust" looking crap that builds up at/near power sourced connections (ie running light sockets, cigarette lighter, etc)? This stuff seems to only be found where electrical current is found...I presume it is caused by it in a reaction somehow?? Thanks

    How to chamfer??

I joined the crowd and bought Smart TabSX and have been reading a lot of old posts from y'all about installation. I think I understand most of it but don't know how to "chamfer". I even looked it up in the dictionary but that was no help...further proof that books are worthless. Thanks for...

    Prop size use w/jackplate

I have a Yamaha f115 4 stroke on a 20 ft everglades. I believe the prop on it is a standard 13x17. I am adding a jack plate to help in shallow water and have been told a 4 blade will help me get up quicker (along with Smart tabs SX). My wot RPM appears to be running under 5000 now. Do I even...

    Ideas on protecting GPS wiring?

I was hoping you could provide me with some good ideas on protecting/covering my Garmin GPSmap 498 data/power wire connections when not in use. I looked on their website, can't find caps. Leaving them wrapped in a plastic sack when not in use doesn't seem to be a very good long-term solution...

    Jackplate Setback HELP!

I am the proud new owner of an Everglades 200cc and was hoping anyone familiar with this boat can tell me any experiences they've had with a jack plate on this boat. I am looking for the boat to run skinnier but am worried a jack plate won't help me. I am planning on a bob's with 6 in...
