    I am restoring an old 15 ft. Starcraft runabout with a closed bow. I wanted to leave parts if it bare and polished, including the top that covers the bow. I have heard there could be blinding glare if I polish this area. Any experiences out there?

    To use sand as a traction aid or not...

    I am restoring a 1959 Starcraft 15 footer and am putting in a cedar tongue and groove floor. I am using a layer of epoxy and them a few coats of marine spar varnish for UV protection. Do I need to sprinkle sand on the last coat for traction?...Will it look goofy on such a nice floor?

    what is the foam for inside my motor hood?

    Do I need to sand my Rustoleum self etch primer before painting over it?

    Is painting your outboard the same color as the boat tacky?

    I'm restoring a 1959 Starcraft runabout that I'm giving a 1950's looking turquoise and white paint job. My outboard is has the factory Johnson dark army green paint from the '70's on the whole lower end....Would it be tacky to paint the out board the turquoise as the boat??? Opinions.......

    rustoleum primer question......

    Time to paint my aluminum Starcraft. I'm using a small air compressor and gun to spray on the Rustoleum Clean Metal Primer after the self etch stuff in a can. Do I thin down the primer with acetone like I do for the top-coat paint?????

    Anyone ever see a drain plug like this??

    I posted this on the other forum but should have posted it here. This a 1959 Starcraft Jet and I lost the drain plug. It was cast alum with 3/4 inch non tapered threads. It had a flange with a rubber gasket which stopped it from going all the way though and sealed at the top of the lip you see...

    Where can I get a drain plug like this?????

    Its off a 1959 Starcraft Jet. I seemed to have lost the the original. It goes on the bottom of the boat (not transom). Its got 3/4 inch threads that are not tapered. Had a flange and a rubber gasket to keep it from going all the way through. Any ideas?????
