    how long to dry???

    Just recently painted the lower unit on my 1960 johnson ouboard. how long should I wait for it to dry before I use it in the lake again. don't want it flaking off. Spent along time sanding, priming and painting. seems like a basic question but I have no idea?Thanks All:)

    aftermarket seal???

    resealing lower gearcase 1960 johnson 40hp. new propeller seal from sierra is different from original seal. should it be installed the same way as original witch doesn't look right. spring facing gearcase no metal covering spring original seal does .Or install with spring facing toward propeller...

    magnetic or not

    Im working on a 1960 40hp johnson . won't idle well. checked ignition system . new points condenser plug wires and plugs coils look ok. My problem is that only one magnet under flywheel is magnetic. motor runs well at half speed or full throttle.carb adjusts fine. is this one not being magnetic...
