    94' merc 200hp low comp

    I have a 200 hp merc with a rebuilt powerhead that has 8 hours on it. Problem is one cylinder has 60lbs of compression. the cyl head is not dark colored like the others and the cyl walls are slightly worn. can that one cyl just be honed and new piston put in? and why did it happen?

    No juice?? 88'vro 140

    Had a pulser coil replaced under the flywheel on a 88' vro 140 and now it just doesnt have the pep it did before. Could something have got out of adjustment? any good places to check?

    no top end

    I had a so called mech replace a "pulser coil" and now im not getting max rpm. The butterflies are open all the way at full throttle. Is there some other adjustment?

    88' 140 drive shaft replacement

    Ive been told by a mechanic my shaft is bent. the seal has been replaced but im still getting water in L.U. Is this common? and is it something a novice mechanic can do at home?

    water in lower unit

    I have a 1988 johnson 140 vro. the shaft seal on the lower unit has been replaced but im still getting water in the oil. Im assuming the shaft is bent? Is this common and is it difficult to replace? Or does anyone have any other suggestions?
