have a 1986 150 hp johnson that takes a little while to start. It will start if u choke it and rev it up to the highest. When u bring it down it wants to die. Once i am able to get it in gear 95% of the time it dies under any load. Then out of no where it will take off and run like a champ...
When i put my 115 hp 2 stroke merc in forward or reverse gear it makes a bad chatter noise. It feels like it is grabbing especially in forward and when i put it in reverse there is hardly anything there. I cant back it off the trailer without it dying.
Have a 1979 merc 115hp that has an outboard trim pump. There are 3 wires that have been cut a blue, green,and purple wire that run to the trim controls on the throttle. Any idea on the wiring for the trim pump end?
