    Thread insert problem

    The thread insert #75 on my OMC cobra came out when removing the bolt that holds the transom mount cap #28.     Is this possible?

    Alignment checked with alignment rod all looks good. But if I turn engine over looking at the coupler it seems the coupler has a slight wobble(slightly off center) Have been running this way all season with no noticeable vibrations. Is a slight amount of runout of the coupler acceptable?

    Interesting question

    Could using a suction type oil extractor on a omc v-8 engine causes issues with the oil system? The type of oil extractor i am talking about is the one West Marine sells that threads to and seals the top of the dipstick tube and sucks the oil out using vacuum .
