    follow up question on no water

    Is there a thermostat on my 50hp thunderbolt? Should water spray out as soon as the motor is started? Also do the last two numbers on the sn indicate the year of mgf? "72" If so can someone give me the part number for a replacement water pump? thanks for he help Bill windlake wi.

    no cooling water?

    I fired up my old Meccury 50 hp that had been sitting for several years. It started right up, but no cooling water is spraying out. Does any one have some idea's that i could do before I have to take it in?
