    No oil horn sounding

    I have a 94 70hp evinrude, the powerhead is new as of 2001, intermittently the no oil alarm will sound. The oil tank is full. I turn the motor off as soon as I hear the alarm, wait 5 minutes, and the alarm doesnt sound again. The plugs look good. How do I verify the oil pump is working? Brian

    Is it ok to run my 94' evinrude at low rpm's

    I own a 1994 Lowe sea nymph with a 70hp evinrude. It has a new powerhead in 2001, and the previous owner did not know why. I want to troll with it on lake Michigan, but I am nervous about running at such low rpms, is this bad for the engine? I did make sure that it is not running lean, it runs...

    Alarm

    I've tested the alarm by disconnecting the tan wire, and the alarm sounds when a screwdriver was inserted, but last weekend I ran out of gas with no warning from the horn, will the alarm sound only if there is a restriction, or will it sound if can is out of gas and running on fumes as well?

    1994 Evinrude 70 hp 3cyl 2 stroke

    This motor runs great past 3000 rpm's, but at idle in neutral, and in gear all the way up to 3000 r's it runs poorly. I am assuming it is a low speed idle adjustment, but kind of lost on the procedure for idle adjustments. Spark seems good, compression is good, I just want this thing to run smoothly
