    How to get rid of old fogging oil in 6 gallon gas tank?

    Sorry if this is the wrong place to post. I have two older, metal 6 gallon gas tanks. Previous owner put fogging oil into them for long term storage. What should I do to the tanks so I can safely use them again without fouling up my carbs or something? Thanks for any advice.

    Lower unit swap....1977 to a '74 70hp....controls backwards now

    I swapped the L/U on my 1974 70hp Evinrude. I took the '74 L/U off and put the '77 on. Now when I shift it is backwards. Forward is reverse and reverse is forward. Did install the L/U wrong? Is it safe to run it this way?

    As I read thru my Solec I am not sure of the direction the impeller go in the water pump housing. When you remove impellor and housing and set it down with the impeller looking at you, facing up.....which way do the flanges point?

    Can't find bl/gr pull thru wires to drop L/U

    I have a '74 70hp 'Rude L/S and I want to drop the lower unit. The manual says I must disconnect a blue and green wire and attach an extra length of wire to each before dropping the unit. The problem is that I cant find these two wires. Can anybody help me with this?

    trouble finding carb rebuild kits parts number

    1974 70 hp Evinrude long shaft running slow

    Hi, I just bought this motor. It was in storage for 5 yrs. in an unheated garage in Minnesota. It started on the first try. It idles fine. The problem is when I apply full throttle on the water. Its like it is only using 30hp instead of the full 70hp. Any advice?
