    ARCING IN DISTRIBUTOR sensor assembly ?

    Turns out I have a 72 100hp v4 100el72r with a sensor assembly. When i check the sensor with a meter it test that the circuit is closed all the time. Could this be causing the constant arcing in the distributor. Or does the sensor open when the wheel passes by. Thanks for any help.

    hydro electric shift need help

    I have 75 85 hp v4 johnson hydro electric shift. the shift switch in the control box broke today and boat is stuck in reverse. i cant seem to find a replacement part for it so i was wondering if i could wire up a three way switch and change gears with a toggle switch.
