    So you are saying that I should reinstall this wire correct? I yeas there are wires on fuel tank and fill line. The one on tank is connected to a tap coming off tank. I did notice the wire color. Its not 8 gauge maybe 18. This is an aluminum boat. I was afraid of corrosion

    1988 21' Starcraft Marine - I removed the anode from back of transom. Only two bolts, and its original. On the inside (nut side ) there is a wire attached to one of the nuts. I am assuming its some type of ground. its coming from the original wire harness. I would think this would cause...

    Thanks I was thinking 14 gauge also. What could be installed on a 21' Starcraft that would require heaver gauge wire, other than a troller motor ? Its just a fishing boat? Anymore thoughts ?

    I am restoring a 1988 21' Starcraft Mariner CC with a 90 hp Evinrude. Need to know what gauge marine wire to use on most of the wiring, I am thinking 14 gauge, but not sure. I know the battery wires are bigger, but I'm talking about the rest of the wiring for like bilge pumps, fishfinders...
