    Sure glad to see the progress on everyones boats out there. I'm still here, but have had some catching up to do. Finally got a concrete floor in the garage/carport. Plan is to enclose it over the summer.

    Ok, well enough for some progress. Once the skid loader was fixed, I emptied the carport and got ready for concrete floors and the closing in for a garage/shop. I ended up finishing stripping the donor boat. Got rack and pinion steering, gage cluster, wiring, fuse panel and lots of small stuff...

    Ok guys, I've been released by the doctor. Got the skid loader back together(with some help of course). Now to catch up on what I haven't been able to do so I can get back to the boat project.

    Slowed down on the boat 4 a little while. My skid loader broke the main drive chain on one side. Brrrr that steel is cold even at 40 degrees.

    Ok, I got the through bolts in. They go all the way through the knee brace instead of just through and nuts inside the brace. Not what I wanted but plenty strong.

    Ok, I haven't through bolted yet, but dropped the transom back in. Sledge hammered is more like it. Tight fit. Installed the six 1/4 bolts through the knee brace and angle. This will be so much stronger than factory.

    Confirmation needed. For those of you that have done this before, how did you attach the braces? I was able to get the SS top bolt in and nylock in the top on each side. I'm assuming the rest of the bolts will have to go through both braces and the knee brace right?

    Ok, I picked up the donor. Thought about walking away, but the price got better so I have it. Never seen rust like this on a galvanized trailer. Three year old wheels shot. To much salt water. Tires and wheel bearings are good as are the trailer brakes. I was surprised by the brakes...

    Gotta love boat shows. Another Idea I got from there is to do a vinyl floor and have a snap-in carpet made for it. Kinda the best of both worlds. Here's a better show of what I'm thinking for the aft.

    Just finished coat 2 of spar treatment. Wow the end grain sucks this stuff up. Down to about 1/3 of the can left. Gonna continue until the end grain won't take any more. Has anyone lowered their splash well? I've seen them shortened, but at the boat show most of the new tin boats have she...

    Test fit is good, grinding down a few high spots is easy with this log fitters wheel.

    Glue is oozing out everywhere. I guess I got enough on there. Tomorrow , I can trim to a good fit and get on to drilling and sealing it.
