    96 j150exedb. Water pump

I had a 94 175 and I don't remember that lighter colored plastic tube ever coming out with the pump? The kit also came with 2 or 3 different lengths of the black extension tubes, are you sure you're using the right one?

Need 1971-1989 9.9 evinrude service manual, gears slipping on E10RCNS.

I purchased my 9.9 new in 1984 and ordered the OEM manual for it at the same time. It has the same 394607 part number you are looking at here and does cover the 2 through 235 hp motors.

    Best sharpener for my Kabar?

A friend gave me his Worksharp to try out a few months ago and I liked it so much I ended up buying 1 of my own. I've only used it on kitchen knives so far but I don't see why it wouldn't work just as well on your Kabar...

I think I found the gasket, the manual doesn't mention using any sealant.

Upper Water Tube Grommet Replacement 6hp 1985.

I may not be looking in the right place but I don't even see an exhaust gasket mentioned in my 84 OEM manual. All it mentions is putting a new o-ring on the exhaust housing cover and installing 2 screws.

    Old Ford engine help

Does that motor have an idle air control valve (IAC)? We had a mid 80's F150 with a 302 and I remember having to remove and clean that a few times. It would get sticky or something and not idle right and cleaning with carb spray seemed to help.

    Cooling water output J150EXECD

I had a 94 175 and I don't remember much if any spray coming out of those vents. It was mostly exhaust gases I believe.

    Forum update

It's reverted back to the hard to read font for me and the style option under preferences seems to have gone away?

    Forum update

Yes it was hard for me to read also. I clicked on my user name at the upper right and then went to preferences and changed the style from iboats to default and it's much better.

    Evinrude 9.9 Cam Roller Issues

Like I mentioned before, my motor is an 84 model so I hope I'm not leading you astray. You might just have to pull harder and work it a bit to get the twist grip off. I took the screw out of mine this morning and the handle is spring loaded and I had to hold onto it to keep it from flying off as...

    Evinrude 9.9 Cam Roller Issues

Hi Joe, going by the manual, you are supposed to clip a "throttle amplifier" on the the throttle shaft and then turn the hex screw until you can just see the tip of the amplifier begin to move. The amplifier is in the first picture and the adjusting screw is in the second.

    Evinrude 9.9 Cam Roller Issues

Mine has a lot of play in it also. Between the play in the vertical shaft and tiller gears I can twist the grip back and forth at least an inch before it translates into any movement at the cam plate. I've just come to consider it normal and don't worry about it. It's been a few years since I...
