    I just finished replacing my transom and have the old one laying on a flatbed to reference placement of holes for some items. Would a picture help with a ruler for reference work or would you like me to trace it on paper and mail it to you? Willing to help.

    It is NOT 3/4 inch. I believe it was a replacement floor done in the late 70s.I have no idea what was original but everything else is fit to this. It is 1 1/8 thick and I was able to source 1 1/8 marine plywood to replace it.

    JB I have already got the 1-1/8 replacement material sealed and prepped to go in. The old stuff was screwed down with stainless screws and I planned to do the same. Had not thought about rivets. Where would I source rivets that long. I do plan to go back in the same holes.

    There is a product called OX-GARD that is meant to be used in connectors like the one disgust .I find myself using it more and more because of computer controls. This works very well for me.

    I hope this one does not show up twice as the first was a mistake. To peen the buddy in place one would use a very fine pointed punch and strike the shown surface in three places around the buddy leaving an indent about 1/6" round and deep. This has worked without fail for me.

    LOL the second one was by mistake. To clarify to peen the buddy in place one would take a very fine pointed punch and strike the shone surface in three places around the buddy. This should leave a very small indent in the surface but it does work well for me. The indent should be about 1/6"...
