    Thank you great info. I guess the best thing is to just try it out and see how it performs pushing the boat instead of the test tank. Spring is just 4-5 months away.

    There is no lead shot in the top hole pointed out in the pic below? do I need to install one? It runs good as is? Does anyone have a flow chart for the carb so I can figure out what the port is for? Thanks John

    Sure runs good in the tank. If the hole in the top of the carb needs a shot plug I will know when I take it out in the spring.

    Thank you for the reply. I found the vent. It is a small brass port on the front of the carb. It was plugged and because I took a short cut and did not dip the carb body I paid the price.     I have read all the posts on this subject and am totally stumped! I am bench testing with a mighty vac and pushing fuel into the carb. It is being pushed out the main jet into the carb throat.
