    It's a long shaft transome and ill only have 4 onboard max I've picked up a cheap evinrude 40hp for £250 but I'm on the look out for yamaha 30hp. Ideally I'd like to put mount on for the 40hp on my boat and use it as a back up engine. I like to have backups for my backups 🤣 Thanks

    Hi, It will definitely be a first.. But to be honest, I'm not interested in going super fast. I just like the thought of having enough power to strap the rib to the side of my sailboat to be get it out of trouble in the event of summit going wrong. Thanks for your help

    Ah thanks for that, my plaque has worn away but I was told by multiple people it was 40hp plus I've seen a few paired up with a 40s.. Do you think It will be OK? Thanks

    The seasport 3.45 has steering, the helm is right at the bow. The 55hp is within the max weight for an outboard with this rib but I've found a 40hp evinrude anyway, prob go with that. Thanks
